Finding My Voice
I believe God has shifted gears on how I function in ministry because of the call to the office of the New Testament Prophet. I have a job description based on Ephesians 4:11-16. I have to have a system to equip you to execute prophetic ministry consistently. There are a lot of different beliefs concerning prophetic ministry. We will walk through those of the other posts, but the one thing that is clear to me is there is a need for practical, healthy, functional training for prophetic ministry to happen in the local church setting. That’s why we need a system because If you don’t have a system, you don’t know what you're doing…
I have the privilege of ministering prophetically to people daily in different settings. Sometimes I minister one-on-one, and sometimes ministry can occur in a small group setting or a larger gathering publicly. Over the years, during my journey, God has established my voice in the local church as someone you can depend on to bring an accurate prophetic word that is relevant to people and the situations they are currently navigating. Honestly, I just didn’t want to go to hell when I became a Christian. I was afraid of Y2K Judgment Day, haha! Becoming and being a prophetic minister wasn’t my career choice however, God has consistently used me in prophetic ministry because of the gifts He has given me and the mandate He has placed on my life.
Over the last few years, during different ministry times, The Lord has spoken to me about how I operate in ministry. He has been challenging me to intentionally create processes that will help people learn to hear His voice and prophesy so they can participate in prophetic ministry. During this time, I have concluded that if I can’t help you do what I do, then what I do isn’t useful to you. I also believe that the more people I can help learn to hear God’s voice and prophesy well, the more lives will be changed because of the gift that prophetic ministry is to The Body of Christ!
As a local pastor who functions prophetically, I have seen the damage that can be done if the prophetic aspect of ministry is not easy to follow and easy to understand. The result of this damage can have a significant impact on a person's life and the church they are part of. For example, suppose you are a ministry leader and don’t have an authentic, consistent, and healthy prophetic expression in your ministry context. In that case, it will cause some unique challenges for you because of the counterfeits that will try to fill the void in your ministry.
If you’re not a ministry leader but feel like you're called to some form of prophetic ministry, I would first say not to dive into the prophetic on your own or in rebellion. The prophetic ministry only works in partnership with the local church. I’m going to make that statement even more straightforward. If you don’t have (or want) someone in your life who is spiritually maturer than you walking alongside you and practicing the prophetic, then you need to stop what your doing and get connected asap!

The system I created is called The Prophetic Lab. This system is Biblical and easy to follow. There are two reasons why I’ve made the system this way. The first is no matter what you think about prophetic ministry; the Bible is the only absolute authority that matters when it comes to any form of ministry we do. So if you are challenged with anything that doesn’t check your theological box, I always suggest going back to reading The Word of God. It will help you grow or help you grow, but know that it will help you grow. The other reason I made the system easy is that we (The Church) have made the topics of prophetic ministry and prophets weird, confusing, and unattractive.
So if you’re still reading this post, congratulations, you made it this far! The Prophetic Lab has three steps for you to take. I will be writing about them here on 21centMP. The first class starts in April 2023. I will also share some things I’ve learned about hearing God’s voice, prophetic ministry, and living a supernatural lifestyle with you. Thanks for checking out 21CentMP! I’m looking forward to the journey with you!
